Folks:

We have finished all steel work on the ship. It has been given over to the painters and they have hydro-blasted the old paint off the freeboard and applied primers to the entire hull. Today we have a finish coat of haze grey on the freeboard, black bottom and red bottom. They will be snapping the straight lines for the haze grey line over the black this morning and snapping a straight line between black and red on the underbody. Hull numbers, draft marks and hail are to be painted today if the weather cooperates.

Tomorrow, if conditions are good, we will fleet the boat by moving it ahead 26” to blast and double prime the areas covered by the keel blocks.

She should look like a toy soldier by the end of the week.

That’s it for now.
