This is Radio II which is across the passageway from Radio Central.
The HAM operators will be using it as a ham radio station. The call
sign is NT4HI which is close to our own call sign
which was NTHI.
They cleaned it up and painted it. It really
looks great.
Radio II as it now appears:
View into Radio II from passageway door. Note how
well the URC-32
cleaned up, which means I was able to mount all of the covers but one
and get the rust off. The WRT-2 isn't too shabby
either.
This is the view from inside showing the amateur gear on top of the
WRT-2
antenna coupler. With the help of your next work party we hope to
have a
permanent metal table from which to operate a permanently
installed ham radio.

I estimate that members of the Charleston Amateur Radio Society
contributed over 100 hours for the whole project begun in February.
Thanks for your support as President of the Laffey Association.
