Then one landed right in the 20 mm on the
fantail that killed all the men back
there and there was nothing left of the guns. Then we got hit with two
bombs
on the fantail some of them which went down into a magazine and the magazine
blew up. Well that jammed our rudder all the way over to port so we were doing
30 knots around in circles and we had no guns aft to shoot with.
Of course all the time we were shooting them down all around us but some of them
got through. Then we got hit with another bomb on the fantail, same of
heated holes
it made went right through the ship and the water was really coming in.
