Owen moved on to his next adventure on March 28, 2011. He was born on February 13, 1925; living a full 86 years. Learned of life while facing death in WWII aboard the USS LAFFEY Destroyer, "The Ship That Wouldn't Die".
He served his country and then his family. He knew how to love, laugh, forgive, and accept in all aspects of life. One of the "Great Men" of the "Great Generation".
Loving husband of the late Doris Ann. Father of Tom (the late Nancy) (Mary Ellen), Dick (Peggy) and Dan (Mary). Brother of Ben (Corrine). Grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 6. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2011, at WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK-CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, from 9:30-10:45 AM, with a Service to follow at 11:00 AM. Entombment at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
