1970 Roster (USS Laffey DD 724)

 

            During one of the USS Laffey's last deployments, one from 30 April to 17
            November, 1970, The Laffey participated in the Contingency Crisis of the U.S.
            Sixth Fleet which was created by the Jordanian Civil War. For her Steadfast
            service as a screening destroyer and radar picket ship, LAFFEY was awarded
            the Meritorious Unit Citation. LAFFEY'S last ribbon.
