The Aftermath of the Action on Radar Picket Station #1

Closeup of the ship's after five-inch twin Mount 53 that was hit by
two bomb laden kamikazes and was torn open.  One gun was upended
and canted skyward.  The mount's shield was not armor plate but thin
metal, which was never designed to resist such impacts.
